Feels better to be open Without question, the single biggest change I’ve seen in my business in the last year, is MASSIVELY reducing the amount of social platforms I’m on. Maybe that doesn’t seem like a big deal (especially with how “easy” content repurposing is). But to me, it has literally changed my life. I’ve always been fascinated by people who can lead double lives. The second family. The other partner. Another job even sometimes. Aside from the fact that I love my wife, Olivia, more than anything. The sheer exhaustion that it must cause people to lead TWO lives, to me, is overwhelming. And using 15 (I counted) different social platforms made me, frankly, desperately unhappy. More than anything, my attention was being pulled in 15 different places. I was worried about 15 different audiences, 15 different personas. And while it’s easy to wax lyrical about being authentic and posting multiple pieces of content across multiple platforms, none of that matters if it’s making you unhappy. So I killed them all (mostly). Why? Because I wanted to double down and commit to ONE platform. I’m just not smart enough or dedicated enough to run multiple social platforms. And really - I don’t want to. I think that’s what it comes down to. Yes I could hire teams of people (again) to do it. I could have people running my accounts for me. But for what? I simply do not care for multiple platforms. I only really like one platform, and that’s YouTube. So I’ve quit the others (with the expectation of one - deleting that soon). I‘m doubling down on my commitment to the platform. I don’t want to lead a second or third life. P.S. Here’s some more ways I can help your funnel business grow. 1. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
