Cuckoo bananas email There is SO much more to life, than just running a business. Hustle, grind, “crushing it”. All that shit does is drive home the idea that the only thing which matters is running a successful, profitable business. I have a very simple belief about the meaning of life. I have two goals: - To live in harmony with nature - To be at peace To live in harmony with nature doesn’t mean living in a forest or being 100% carbon neutral or anything, what it means is “to accept the way things are and live with them”. We age, we die, we get ill and broken. That is the nature of things. We love, have fun and eat great food. That is also the nature of things. I want to be in harmony with those things. To be at peace does not mean to be happy. Happiness is fleeting, it’s an emotion. I have no desire to be happy with my dog inevitably dies. I will be in no rush to be happy after my Mum dies. But, I do hope I can one day be at peace with those things. To be at peace, with the nature of things. “Mike, clearly you’ve gone mental. What does this have to do with running a sales company?” Exactly - it doesn’t. I love running a company more than just about anything on the planet. I love my team, I love my clients, I love the work. I also love money (come at me misquoted bible interpretations). I love commerce and growth and progress. But that is just a part of what makes life brilliant and joyous and sad and upsetting. There is a mixture of world out there and unfortunately, it took me getting cancer to realise that there is far more to life than just doing sales. “If we don’t make time for our wellness, we’ll be forced to take time for our illness” Unfortunately I don’t know who said this, but it’s 100% true. If you don’t take time to find balance, you’ll be forced to fix imbalances. Have courage, commit and take action. Mike P.S. Here's some ways I can help your funnel business double it's revenue. 1.
