“Mike! Where can I find more leads!? I need more leads!!” Literally every business I have ever spoken to, tells me that they want more leads. The next thing people ask me, is “I will literally do the work. I’m not afraid of hard work. I just want someone to tell me what to do, and I’ll do it.” Ok - you win. I’m going to tell you WHERE to find more leads. Just. Follow. This. Process. 1. Decide exactly who you want to attract. You can’t do animal conservation without an idea of which animal you want to help. The entire rest of this process doesn’t work if you don’t have a clear idea of WHO you want to attract in mind. Finish the sentence: I am looking for more… - Business owning Mums - Luggage manufacturers - Travel vloggers - Seven figure consultants You need to work with SOMETHING. 2. Search for Facebook groups with that community. Spend LOTS of time searching, researching and uncovering. There are going to be at LEAST 5 groups filled with your ideal customer. IF YOU CANNOT FIND A SINGLE GROUP WITH YOU IDEAL CUSTOMER - CHOOSE ANOTHER CUSTOMER. Unless you’re already running a $5M+ a year agency, you can’t afford to create a new affinity or identity from scratch. Don’t bother trying. Make life easier on yourself, MUCH easier and just find a pool of people who are already IN a tribe. Trust me, this will literally cut your customer acquisition time into 10ths. And here’s where people run into their first big roadblock. “But I don’t know who to target?” So despite people telling me they’re not afraid of hard work, they are afraid of making a decision about the unknown. There are a handful of reasons why this is. Worried about making the wrong choice, too many options, fear of the unknown etc. But none of that matters. You just have to do it. There is nothing I can change about that - you must make a decision. Pick something, commit, and work on it. You can change it later. Just pick SOMETHING to aim at. If you can’t find a tribe or community of people who already identify as your target market, move on. Kill your idea and change who you want to target. Start making some real money and you can then move to a community that doesn’t exist already. 3. Start adding people Send friend requests to everyone in those groups. You can do up to 50 a day. [Pepper]( can do this on automation. 4. DO NOT SELL TO PEOPLE WHO ACCEPT If people accept, just send a little welcome message. Build up your following and let them comment or reach out to you WHEN THEY want to be sold to. Make life easier on yourself. Instead, if you do strike up a conversation, just keep it casual. Ask a few questions, keep it light. Now you literally have a system for growing your leads list and reaching out to them. Have courage, commit and take action. Mike P.S.
