Win more with this negotiation tip I've kind of touched on this, on other videos to do with objections and negotiation. What I want to do is tell you why my customers love it and why my suppliers love it when I negotiate with them. It's because I agree with them. When they say, “Look, man, our prices are going up. You're going to have to pay this. This is what our rates are today.“ And I go, “Yeah, that really sucks. I understand that your rates are going up. I completely agree. However, I'm going to stand firm at my offer of 30 quid a month or 300 bucks a year or whatever it is.” When I agree with them, it shows that I'm on their side. I acknowledge them and I understand what they're going through. When I see them as a human being, not just someone who's trying to win, even if they are trying bully bully tactics. What I'm able to do is say, “I completely agree with you. I agree that this is outrageous that your rates have gone up. However, I need to continue sticking with my 30 quid a month.” That's why I tend to get more of the things I want during a negotiation and they feel good about it because I'm agreeing with them. Have courage, commit and take action.
