The resulting hard ground and hot sunny days can be challenging for equestrians and dog owners alike. Early morning starts are often the answer for many of us. At last month’s Al Shaira’aa Derby, classes started early. We have no doubt that 21 year-old Ella Dalton had been up early. Riding Quality Rubies N Diamonds to win the British Speed Derby, the 1.45m world ranking speed class (a huge achievement), she was drawn 11th out of 26 and with an early fence down to finish on a time of 101.72 sec, she took the win. His Majesty King Charles III also had his first ever Hickstead win, thanks to show producer Katie Jerram-Hunnable and 6 year old Sunbeam taking the title in the Agri Supreme Coloured Horse Ridden Championship. Born at the Hampton Court Stud, his mother Tiger Lily IX was evented by Zara Tindal, an interesting little fact. And finally student Perdy Dabliz took the victory in the Side-saddle Championship with her sister, Sasha’s Welcome First Edition. Very much a family affair, the hunting duo proves just how versatile the right horse can be. Exhibiting at Hickstead was as interesting as ever, we love hearing from our customers old and new and getting out and meeting everyone re-affirms our thinking and belief in what we’re doing. See Change Now really changes for the better the lives of busy horse and dog owners.
