[Image] Weekly Market Update Today is June 11, 2022 Hey TMI Subscriber, Letâs say youâve sold all the losers in your portfolio and youâre mostly sitting in cash. You know weâre in a bear market and that last weekâs revival attempt by stocks is just a temporary blip within the longer-term downtrend. Still, youâre growing anxious and finding it harder to resist the temptation to make a bullish trade on just one or two stocks. Well, placing a trade doesnât have to be a win-or-lose affair. I mean, there is a way for you to âtradeâ without having to âplay for keeps.â You can actually use an online stock market simulator to âpaper tradeâ until you get your sea legs, so to speak. Everything about your trades is real, except thereâs no ârealâ money on the line. All youâre spending is time. Also, most online simulators link to actual brokerages. So, you have access to stock charts and other data youâd normally use to make investment decisions. Itâs a great way to learn from your successes and failures. Of course, when you buy a stock that doubles in price over a week, youâll need to refrain from beating yourself up or yelling at the dog. And you might discover that half the fun of trading this way is having the freedom to take risks you normally wouldnât â and then reaping the rewards of your results. If investment simulators pique your interest, here are three good ones to check out. Theyâre all free, but youâll need to register before diving in. All provide the tools you need to place any kind of trade on the NYSE (long/short/options/futures). 1. [Thinkorswim by TD Ameritrade]( You donât need a brokerage account with TD Ameritrade to sign up for thinkorswim. Just register with your email address to access some of the most sophisticated tools available. 2. [Moomoo]( At Moomoo, you can open a demo account that functions just like a normal account, minus the real money part. Just go to the âOpen Accountâ page and click âPaper Trading.â 3. [Investopedia Stock Simulator]( When you sign up for the Investopedia Stock Simulator, youâll be given $100,000 in virtual cash. You can invest that money however you wish and compete with more than 700,000 other users. ***** Like I said, risk management is more important than ever today.
