[Image] Saturday Market Update Hey TMI Subscriber, Welcome to "Saturday Market Update," a quick and easy read that recaps True Market Insidersâ market outlook from the week gone by while helping prepare you for the trading week ahead. Today is Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021 All investors suffer from âtrigger phobia,â every now and then. Thatâs the unofficial term for when buyerâs (or sellerâs) remorse sets in after you place a trade. Uncertainty is nerve-wracking â especially with money on the line. Well, in investing, placing a trade doesnât have to be a win-or-lose affair. I mean, there is a way for you to make a âtradeâ without having to âplay for keeps.â You can actually use an online stock market simulator to âpaper tradeâ until you get your sea legs, so to speak. Everything about your trades is real, except thereâs no ârealâ money on the line. Think Monopoly. Most online simulators link to actual brokerages. So, you have access to stock charts and other data youâd normally use to make investment decisions. Of course, this doesnât take the place of TMI indicators youâre privy to as a subscriber (and which you wonât find any place else). But, itâs a great way to learn from your successes and failures. Of course, when you buy a stock that doubles in price over a week, youâll need to refrain from beating yourself up or yelling at the dog. Practice doesnât make perfect in investing because nothing can. However, the more comfortable and confident you get with all the steps that go into researching and placing a trade, the more likely youâll be to succeed. And I think youâll discover that half the fun of trading this way is having the freedom to take risks you normally wouldnât â and then reaping the rewards of your results. If investment simulators pique your interest, here are three to check out. Theyâre all free, but youâll need to register to dive in. All provide the tools you need to place any kind of trade on the NYSE (long/short/options/futures). 1. [Thinkorswim by TD Ameritrade]( You donât need a brokerage account with TD Ameritrade to sign up for thinkorswim. Just register with your email address to access some of the most sophisticated tools available. 2. [Moomoo]( At Moomoo, you can open a demo account that functions just like a normal account, minus the real money part. Just go to the âOpen Accountâ page and click âPaper Tradingâ. 3. [Investopedia Stock Simulator]( When you sign up for the Investopedia Stock Simulator, youâll be given $100,000 in virtual cash. You can invest that money however you wish and compete with more than 700,000 other users. Happy learning, and happy reading!
