[Image] Saturday Market Update Hey TMI Subscriber, Welcome to "Saturday Market Update," a quick and easy read that recaps True Market Insiders’ market outlook from the week gone by while helping prepare you for the trading week ahead. Today is Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021 All investors suffer from “trigger phobia,” every now and then. That’s the unofficial term for when buyer’s (or seller’s) remorse sets in after you place a trade. Uncertainty is nerve-wracking — especially with money on the line. Well, in investing, placing a trade doesn’t have to be a win-or-lose affair. I mean, there is a way for you to make a “trade” without having to “play for keeps.” You can actually use an online stock market simulator to “paper trade” until you get your sea legs, so to speak. Everything about your trades is real, except there’s no “real” money on the line. Think Monopoly. Most online simulators link to actual brokerages. So, you have access to stock charts and other data you’d normally use to make investment decisions. Of course, this doesn’t take the place of TMI indicators you’re privy to as a subscriber (and which you won’t find any place else). But, it’s a great way to learn from your successes and failures. Of course, when you buy a stock that doubles in price over a week, you’ll need to refrain from beating yourself up or yelling at the dog. Practice doesn’t make perfect in investing because nothing can. However, the more comfortable and confident you get with all the steps that go into researching and placing a trade, the more likely you’ll be to succeed. And I think you’ll discover that half the fun of trading this way is having the freedom to take risks you normally wouldn’t — and then reaping the rewards of your results. If investment simulators pique your interest, here are three to check out. They’re all free, but you’ll need to register to dive in. All provide the tools you need to place any kind of trade on the NYSE (long/short/options/futures). 1. [Thinkorswim by TD Ameritrade]( You don’t need a brokerage account with TD Ameritrade to sign up for thinkorswim. Just register with your email address to access some of the most sophisticated tools available. 2. [Moomoo]( At Moomoo, you can open a demo account that functions just like a normal account, minus the real money part. Just go to the “Open Account” page and click “Paper Trading”. 3. [Investopedia Stock Simulator]( When you sign up for the Investopedia Stock Simulator, you’ll be given $100,000 in virtual cash. You can invest that money however you wish and compete with more than 700,000 other users. Happy learning, and happy reading!
