Both updates launched within 24 hours of each other. Now that we are a few days into both of these updates, we are [seeing some heated search volatility from Google](). Although Google said you shouldn’t be confused by these updates, there still is confusion. If your site was hit, was it hit by the spam update or the core update? One Google update targets spam. So if your site isn’t spamming, then you were likely hit by the core update. Either way, the advice is probably the same – create helpful, useful and unique content. And don’t spam Google. Hopefully, you only saw positive movement from these two Google updates.
