[View in browser]( | [Share]() Aug 04, 2023 [Search Engine Land]() Good morning, Search Marketer, what do you call the output of chat engines? For search engines, we’ve long since had a term for the output you get after you enter a query – a SERP, or search engine results page. But that’s all changing with the rise of generative AI – ChatGPT, the new Bing and Google’s Search Generative Experience. We’re slowly watching the evolution of the SERP into something new. But what? Anything new needs a name. Ideally an acronym. But what should we call the results page we get from our prompts on generative AI engines? So we’re giving it a name. Let’s call it a CHERP – or CHat Engine Results Page. You heard it here first – a CHERP is the new SERP. Give it some thought. We’ll be polling you all next week to get your thoughts.
