Today, Google [opened early access]() to the Search Generative Experience. I’m looking forward to digging in as soon as I get access. Opinions in the search marketing industry are divided over whether we’re doomed or we’ll thrive with the new Search Generative Experience. I believe that both Google and Microsoft Bing want to encourage searchers to dive deeper into links and, thus, will showcase links and citations in a big way. I know a lot of folks disagree with me on that, even at Search Engine Land. But I remain optimistic. I’ve been covering search for about 20 years now. Having covered search for two decades, I’ve witnessed several changes – yet we always manage to adapt and thrive.
