Plus, Meta's pay-for-verification program, call tracking, video content and more. | Feb 21, 2023 Feb

Plus, Meta's pay-for-verification program, call tracking, video content and more. [View in browser]( | [Share]() [Search Engine Land]() Feb 21, 2023 Feb 21, 2023 Good morning, Search Marketer, at least Microsoft knows its limits. Some of the time. The new Bing – which itself is still in limited preview – is now limiting chat “turns” (i.e., a conversational exchange that includes a user’s question and Bing’s reply) to 50 per day and five per session. This, following [multiple reports of issues]() that “confused” Bing’s AI and turned it combative (or worse) at times. While it’s fine to see Microsoft limiting Bing here, we hope Bing chat will put limits on [how often it cites itself]() (specifically Bing’s own search results) as its answer. [It should give rightful credit to the publisher]() from which it has pulled the answer. Let’s hope we aren’t heading toward an endless and escalating loop where the search engines start creating the content and then sourcing themselves. And on that happy note – could you spare a couple minutes to tell us how satisfied you are with this publisher? Specifically, the Search Engine Land newsletter. We’d really appreciate it.
