The fire also caused [massive outages for Google search](). Many searchers were unable to conduct searches and find content. It also caused search quality issues for those who were able to use Google search – new pages couldn’t be found, old pages dropped out of the index and weird search results were being returned. What a mess. Clearly a failsafe or some sort of redundancy failed with this data center. It just shows you how fragile traffic can be, and sadly one’s health. We should never take for granted our financial situation, and espesially not our health and life. Let’s be thankful for what we have today.
