We asked our team from coast to coast what they're playing on repeat this time of year. What Schott N.Y.C. products are you wearing?: The Schott N.Y.C. pocket tee, Velva Sheen X Schott N.Y.C. sweat-shorts, American Trench socks, Red Wing Moc Oxford and the Schott N.Y.C. 538 jacket. Describe your taste in music: I grew up making mixtapes, and I really love putting songs to make it feel like a journey or adventure. So with summer in mind, I made this feel like an ideal summer day in LA. You wake up, radio on in the car got your tunes going as you snag some coffee in the morning, which for me is a mix of upbeat hip-hop, indie rock, and old-time psychedelic tunes. After the morning, it's off to the beach with some chillwave tracks paired with late 90's nostalgia. Later in the afternoon is a bit for reflective with some darkwave, post-punk, and dream pop. Next thing you know, the sun is setting, and it's time to party and dance the night away with friends with some rock and bassier hip-hop to only be met with a nightcap of ambient shoegaze. [LISTEN NOW]( [SHOP NUBUCK]( What Schott N.Y.C. products are you wearing?: In my profile photo, I'm sporting the Duke. My girlfriend and I took a trip last Fall to Death Valley. It was 110 degrees, no shade. That roughout suede trucker felt cool as could be under all that California sun. Seriously. The heat just bounced right off of it. It was my first Schott N.Y.C. jacket! I love it. Describe your taste in music: Oh man. I like it all. Well, most of it. Deep soul, Dylan, Ethiopian jazz. Arvo Part. Neil Young, Nick Cave, Townes. Melancholy stuff. If it digs down straight to your heart, I'm in. When I was making the playlist, I was trying to figure out how to include Black Sabbath and Electric Wizard, but I just couldn't. It's a Summer playlist! I was a touring musician for a couple decades, so I threw in a song by my own band, just to earn a few pennies. Enjoy! [LISTEN NOW]( [SHOP SUEDE]( What Schott N.Y.C. products are you wearing?: My go to leather jacket is an early version of the CAF1. Broken in enough that its fit exclusively to me but feels like it tough enough to take on any element. Also BLT1, is my favorite casual belt. Describe your taste in music: I generally like all type of music but gravitate towards rock (and occasionally country). Bruce Springsteen gave songwriting advice of blues in the verse and gospel in the chorus. So in this playlist I tried to focus on songs that had big fun choruses. It's summer and time to have some fun and sing along. [LISTEN NOW]( [SHOP CAFÉ]( What Schott N.Y.C. products are you wearing?: 118 Perfecto & BLT81 in Black. Describe your taste in music: I love all types of music. Rock & Roll, Jazz, even Country.I was Born & Raised in the birthplace of Hip-Hop. The Bronx, NY; so gravitate towards that genre the most. As long as it speaks to my soul & aligns with who I am; my ears & heart are open. [LISTEN NOW]( [SHOP CLASSIC LEATHERS]( What Schott N.Y.C. products are you wearing?: In my photo I'm wearing 9721W- the Waikiki women's flight jacket. It's my favorite lightweight jacket- perfect for a breezy summer day. Describe your taste in music: My taste in music is probably just as diverse as my wardrobe- but I generally listen to folk-punk and indie music. Angsty, high energy tunes are my guilty pleasure! Enjoy! [LISTEN NOW]( [SHOP WOMENS]( What Schott N.Y.C. products are you wearing?: As you would probably expect, I have a pretty large selection of leather jackets. I find the most joy from our natural brown leathers because I particularly enjoy the highs and lows of the leather as it ages over time. In this photo I am wearing a 581 unlined cafe racer. This leather has a lot of waxes and oils hot stuffed into it which means the highs and lows migrate through the skin as the jacket is worn. I love it! Also not pictured is a Horween leather belt style BLT91. Describe your taste in music: While I think our jackets are good for anyone with taste, I will fully acknowledge that my music is not for everyone. In short my playlist is jam bands, southern rock and alt country. I love music that makes you subconsciously press down a little harder on the gas while you are roadtripping.  I love a good jam where you can zone out and forget where you are. I like complex musical melodies and a slow build towards a musical climactic crescendo. It's always a treat when you can get into your car and throw on the Grateful Dead station on your trip and realize when you arrive at your destination that you've been listening to the same song the whole ride.  [LISTEN NOW]( What Schott N.Y.C. products are you wearing?: I'm wearing the 538. It's by far my favorite style we've released recently. It's a relatively lightweight nubuck with a rugged look that reminds me of something someone in the 1930's might wear while bootlegging moonshine. Perfect for San Francisco weather. I especially love the subtle collar color contrast and the button closure. Describe your taste in music: I like a wide variety of stuff, even stuff I wouldn't necessarily just pop on or listen to regularly, I can at least respect the talent and hard work of a lot of musicians. But what I always go back to is 60's/70's pop and country. That era is also so closely tied to San Francisco's history that it's almost fortuitous that it's one of my favorite era's as well. [LISTEN NOW]( [SHOP NUBUCK]( What Schott N.Y.C. products are you wearing?: I am wearing the Black 575 style in a Large. Even though my size is a medium I do love the baggy and comfortable look. Describe your music taste in music: I would say my music taste are that heavy of the mid to late 90’s heading over to the early 2000’s it ranges anywhere from rock to hip-hop to electronic house music. My musical taste is a mess, but a very good looking mash up of hits.
