Hi {NAME}, You may have heard or read my “success” story before…in one brief line, it

Hi {NAME}, You may have heard or read my “success” story before…in one brief line, it goes something like this: “To date, my business partners and I have launched 17 different companies, exited 4, and even had three different businesses on the Inc 500 list simultaneously!” But here’s the part of my “success story” that I don’t usually talk about… In addition to being an entrepreneur and investor, I’m also a husband and a father of four amazing kids. In fact, I actually started my first business so I could make enough extra income to buy my then-girlfriend (who is now my wife) an engagement ring. Fast-forward a few years, and that little business grew from a 6-figure side hustle into a 7-figure enterprise that was on pace to break into the 8-figures. If you had asked me back then how business was going, I would have said, “Great!” And from the outside looking in, things were great. Sales were strong. Profits weren’t amazing, but they were good enough. And the team seemed like they were finally starting to catch some traction. The problem is, as the business scaled, it seemed to require more and more of my time. Missing soccer practices and being late for dinner went from being the exception to the rule, and most days, I barely even saw my family because I left for the office before they woke up and returned home after everyone was asleep. Then one night, things reached a breaking point… After another late night in the office, I returned home to an unlikely sight… …my bedroom light was still on, and it was well after midnight. As I walked through the door, I could see my wife sitting up in bed, eyes red from the tears. She had a simple message, “You can keep doing what you’re doing, but you can’t pretend like you’re doing it for us anymore…” It wasn’t a threat…it wasn’t an ultimatum…just called me on my messed up priorities. You see, I started this business so I could start a family, and I was motivated to grow the business so I could provide for this family. They were my original why, but now this business that was created to serve them had turned into the thing that was hurting them. GUTTED…I knew I had to make a change. There had to be a better way. And it was this momentum that provided the wake-up call I needed to reshape my entire company and my life. I quickly realized that I wasn’t operating as an actual CEO because I had built a ME-dependent business that couldn’t sustain itself without ME being there 24/7. That’s not a business…that’s a job! Even worse, it’s the kind of job you can never truly escape, because the harsh reality that I had to learn and that you need to learn, too, is this… The more valuable you are to your business, the less valuable your business is. So what do we do when we want to scale? Believe it or not, it all comes down to… 5 frameworks…7 tools…and a belief that you don’t have to sacrifice everything you hold dear at the altar of scale. And that’s what the [CEO Crash Course]( is all about… …giving you the frameworks… …giving you the tools… …and giving you a community of peers and mentors who can help you along the way. So, if you’re a Founder/CEO of an established company, I invite you to join my team and me at our “CEO Crash Course,” where we're gonna share over two decades of business scaling secrets distilled into one jam-packed day… [Click here to learn more and register today!]( Talk soon, Ryan [ryan-deiss-signature]   Sent to: {EMAIL} The Scalable Company, 4330 Gaines Ranch Loop, Ste 120, Austin, Texas 78735, United States Don't want future emails?
