Submit your best sakura shots to our reel contest for 2024 for a chance to be featured on Savvy Toky

[Savvy Tokyo]( [Savvy Tokyo's Sakura Reel Contest 2024]( [Savvy Tokyo's Sakura Reel Contest 2024]( Submit your best sakura shots to our reel contest for 2024 for a chance to be featured on Savvy Tokyo, our official Instagram and win a fabulous prize! Before you know it, sakura (cherry blossom) season will hit Japan in full bloom. The parks will fill with people celebrating the start of spring and the hanami (flower viewing) festivities will saturate your social media feeds. However, the cherry blossom season is also brief. To capture the moment and celebrate all creativity, Savvy Tokyo is proud to announce its annual Sakura Contest for 2024! This time, we’re looking for Instagram Reel Collaborations! How You Hanami This year’s theme is “How You Hanami”. [Hanami, meaning “flower viewing,”]( is a traditional Japanese custom dating back to the Nara Period (710-794). Today, it remains a cherished tradition, with millions gathering each spring to enjoy cherry blossoms. Hanami festivals are held all over Japan, and families, friends and coworkers gather for picnics and parties beneath the blooming cherry trees. Your contest reels should depict your interpretation of Japanese hanami! Whether that be picnics with friends and family, a romantic date, making sakura-themed sweets or visiting hanami festivals. We want to know how you hanami! Feel free to use a trending template to format your reels. They don’t necessarily need to be aesthetic picnic shots either, talking to the camera about your hanami plans or showing off how you plan for it is fine too! Reels can be submitted from any prefecture in Japan but must follow our submission rules below. How To Submit Your Reels - Follow our [@SavvyTokyo Instagram page]( - Post [your reel]( to your Instagram account with @savvytokyo as [a collaborator]( (not as a tag!) - Wait to be selected You can submit as many reels as you wish but only the reels approved by our team will be selected as collaborations. What’s in it for you? [Savvy Tokyo's Sakura Reel Contest 2024 Prize](© Photo by iStock: Phattana (Edited) Exposure, recognition and fun! Three featured reels (from three different users) will win JTB travel vouchers worth ¥10,000 each! One prize will be awarded to the collaborated reel with the most likes (at the time of contest closure) and two other prizes will be given to users who we think best reflected the hanami theme. Our team of editors, photographers and designers will also select the top 10 reels from the entries and publish them in an article on the site with the winners’ names (or usernames). Our two favorite reels from the 10 best entries will receive the JTB travel voucher prizes. The top-liked reel will also be guaranteed a spot on the list as well as a prize.
