We can’t look away from crises threatening children’s futures around the world. This month

We can’t look away from crises threatening children’s futures around the world. [Save the Children]( [Children in crisis need your support [DONATE]]( This month has been difficult for all of us, and I hope you’re taking the time to care for yourself and your loved ones. As new crises emerge and intensify around the world, Save the Children teams are now actively responding to several emergencies threatening children – on top of our lifesaving work to address the climate crisis, global hunger, poverty and inequality. [I’m writing now with an urgent, personal plea: Please, at this especially alarming moment, will you make a donation to support all of our efforts to protect and empower the world’s children? Every dollar will be matched by a group of generous donors.]( These are just a few places where your donation can make a critical difference for children: From the Middle East to Ukraine, children are paying the heaviest price as intense violence continues. Children don’t have the basics they need to survive. In some regions, there’s no electricity or fuel, leaving hospitals unable to operate and thousands of lives at risk – including premature babies who rely on electricity-powered incubators to keep them alive. In Mexico, Hurricane Otis intensified rapidly without warning, striking the state of Guerrero as a Category 5 storm – the strongest ever to hit this region. More than 1 million people are without power, and children and families in the most remote communities are cut off from critical resources. In Afghanistan, multiple earthquakes have worsened a desperate situation. Families already struggling with an economic crisis and food insecurity are now without shelter as winter approaches. Children affected by conflict and disaster are particularly unsafe – and they must be protected. As we work to help children around the world access the resources and care they need to thrive, your support is more important than ever. And crucially, a generous group of donors has contributed to a gift fund that is matching contributions from individuals like you during this critical time. [So please, will you give $1,000 or more today to have it go twice as far to help millions of children get the support they need to grow up healthy, learning and safe?]( [SUPPORT CHILDREN IN CRISIS]( In moments of crisis and always, thank you for all you do to make our world a better, safer place for children. Janti Soeripto President & CEO, Save the Children A generous group of donors has donated to a matching gift fund to inspire more donors like you to support our mission, and every dollar you donate will unlock a dollar from this pool. To unlock this match and help us reach our goal, please click the donation link in this email. All donations will be matched 2x, up to $20 million, or until midnight on Dec. 31, 2023. Monthly gifts will be matched for the first monthly installment only. If we meet our match goal prior to receiving your one-time or monthly donation, your donation will not be matched but will still go to support our programs.
