When emergencies strike, you’re there for kids. No matter what crisis they?re facing, support

When emergencies strike, you’re there for kids. [Save the Children]( No matter what crisis they’re facing, supporters like you help us reach children when they need help most. Because of you, our teams are able to assess needs and respond with lifesaving aid in the immediate aftermath of disasters. Just as importantly, you ensure they can remain in communities as long as needed to help children return to learning and address the mental health effects of trauma. We put together the impact report shared below to give you a chance to meet three children and see how your support is changing lives. We hope you’ll take a moment to read it and learn more. [We know you care about the issues threatening children. That’s why today we’re asking, will you please make a generous gift now to help more kids have the futures they deserve?]( Thank you for all you do to support children around the world. Jon Wheeler, Save the Children ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Save the Children Date: Thu, Sep 12, 2024 Subject: Emergency Response Impact Report: [Emergency Response Impact Report - Learn more]( Conflict. Natural disasters. A global hunger crisis. These are just some of the hardships that millions of kids are facing every single day – and you’ve been with them every step of the way. From displacement camps to war zones and in moments of disaster, you’ve been there, following our emergency response teams as they reach children with lifesaving care, resources and protection. And for that, we can’t thank you enough. Because of your dedication to this work, communities are getting the tools they need to overcome ongoing hardships, prepare for disasters before they strike and build the futures that children deserve. And as we continue to power emergency response efforts in crisis zones around the world, we’re sharing some inspiring stories of kids our supporters reached in this exclusive Emergency Impact Report. [Hani* is one of more than 4.6 million children that have been displaced by the ongoing conflict in Sudan. With your support, we're setting up child-friendly spaces in camps like his where he can laugh, play with other kids and begin to process the traumas of war. Eléa* is among 3.7 million children facing displacement in the Democratic Republic of Congo as conflict and climate crises force families apart. But thanks to generous supporters, we're reuniting kids like Eléa with their loved ones and protecting them from violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation. Saleem* lost his father, beloved sister, nephews, home, school and his favorite teacher when the war started in Gaza. Because of the loss he experienced, Saleem withdrew from others and stopped eating. It's supporters that have helped provide kids like Saleem with the psychosocial support they need to cope with their trauma.]( Hani, Eléa and Saleem are just some of the countless children this team has helped us support through moments of emergency and crisis.
