And that’s why I’m running for office – because if you work hard, you should be able to get ahead. But politicians like Kevin McCarthy have turned their backs on working families. When I was pursuing my degree in Criminology, Kevin was voting for Trump’s tax cuts for his wealthy mega-donors. When I became a security guard to keep our communities and small businesses safe, Kevin was focused on unlawfully overturning the 2020 Presidential Election. And when I was speaking to voters about runaway inflation, out-of-control drug prices, and living paycheck-to-paycheck, Kevin was striking backroom deals with the most extreme in the MAGA camp to buy his Speaker’s gavel. I am running to represent California’s 20th Congressional District to bring material solutions from Bakersfield to Ridgecrest and beyond. And when I see material solutions, I mean actual fixes like raising the minimum wage, fighting for corporations to pay their fair share in taxes, and bringing jobs into California that boost our local economy.
