[Main Product Image] Seminar to observe the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction, University of Kashmir - 17th September 2023 Department of Disaster Management Relief Rehabilitation,and Reconstruction, Govt of J&K in Collaboration with the Department of Geography and Disaster Management, University of Kashmir organised a seminar to celebrate the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction to understand the importance of the theme, "Fighting inequality for a resilient future". Shri Kunal Satyarthi, Joint Secretary (Policy and Plan), NDMA gave a presentation on the occassion. [Main Product Image] [Main Product Image] Meeting regarding NHAI-PIU-Nasik-Construction of 6 Lane Greenfield Economic Corridor (Surat-Nasik-Ahmednagar Section)- 17th October 2023 Shri Alok, Additional Secretary, NDMA chaired a meeting with the concerned Officers of NHAI regarding the NHAI-PIU-Nasik - Construction of 6 Lane Greenfield Economic Corridor (Surat-Nasik-Ahmednagar Section) near Sarpur Village, Navsari District in the State of Gujarat and ends near Kolhewadi village, Ahmednagar District in the state of Maharashtra by MIs National Highways Authority of India-Environmental Clearance. [Main Product Image] Meeting regarding Disaster Loss and damage Data including data for indicators of SFDRR/SDG - 27th October 2023 A meeting on the National Disaster Management Information System (NDMIS) was convened at the NDMA Bhawan. The meeting was chaired by the Sh. Alok, Additional Secretary, NDMA along with Sh.Kunal Satyarthi, Joint Secretary (Policy and Plan) NDMA. Officials from selected States/UTs, Consultants and other Officials from NDMA also attended the meeting. The status of the loss and damage data covering SDG/SFDRR indicators was discussed. States/UTs raised and shared their concerns in this regard. Sh. Kunal Satyarthi, Joint Secretary (Policy and Plan) NDMA highlighted the need for disaster loss and damage data and requested the states/UTs to share the associated issues related to the availability and uploading of loss and damage data into the NDMIS portal along with other related issues. NDMA is in the process of systematically addressing the issues related to loss and damage data and it's uploading into the NDMIS portal by the states and UTs of India. [Main Product Image] [Main Product Image] Training on NDMIS (National Disaster Management Information System) - 31st October 2023 NDMA conducted an online training on the National Disaster Management Information System (NDMIS) in the presence of Smt. Rakhee Sadhu, Deputy Secretary (Policy and Plan). The National Disaster Management Information System (NDMIS) platform aims to capture data related to SFDRR (Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (SFDRR). The portal also helps track the disaster impacts and hazards for the entire country up to the district level. The online portal would help the States/UTs / SDMAs to improve data transparency, data availability, data authenticity, and data consolidation at the central level related to the allotment and utilization of SDRF and NDRF funds.
