A friend of mine who quilts sent me a picture from the fabric aisle at the craft store where bolts of cotton printed with Jack-o'-lanterns and bubbly ghosts had started to crop up. I’m not quite there yet. I am ready, however, to share three cookbook titles I’m exceptionally excited to see released in the coming months. At Thielen’s home in northern Minnesota, home entertaining is a year round endeavor, from winter feasts on freezing midwestern nights to big sprawling summer bashes. Thielen said in the release for the book: “A meal with friends or family is nothing more, and nothing less, than a fleeting event that fills a momentary spiritual need.
