A friend of mine who quilts sent me a picture from the fabric aisle at the craft store where bolts of cotton printed with Jack-o'-lanterns and bubbly ghosts had started to crop up. At Thielenâs home in northern Minnesota, home entertaining is a year round endeavor, from winter feasts on freezing midwestern nights to big sprawling summer bashes. Thielen said in the release for the book: âA meal with friends or family is nothing more, and nothing less, than a fleeting event that fills a momentary spiritual need.
