In organizing, persistence is a virtue. [from the Rural Outreach Coordinated Campaign]( {NAME}, we really owe a debt of gratitude to organizers, especially rural organizers who don't always enjoy close contact and collaboration with other experts in the field (we are changing that dynamic!). We can win on the issues in all points across America, but it takes hard work, dedication and persistence! One of our partners, Ground Game Texas, faced a court challenge against one of their successful ballot initiatives. The opponents challenged the victory should be nullified because a signature collector was not a local resident. However, the United States Supreme Court has ruled that anyone can collect signatures as First Amendment right regardless of whether they live in that particular town or county (*hint, any volunteers up for traveling?). Our partners won the case and the will of the voters was upheld all thanks to the hard working organizers behind Ground Game Texas. It just goes to show another dimension of the work that must be done to affect positive change across the country. [There are two ways to ensure this change happens: get involved in a grassroots movement, or support the rural organizers leading these projects.]( If you’ve saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [Chip in $25]( [Chip in $55]( [Choose Amount]( [Chip in $95 ★]( Reply to this e-mail with any questions or comments you may have about empowering local leaders through ROCC.
