The Dolls World's Home tagline represents the sentiment of so many of our doll collectors that we are proud to introduce it to our buyers and sellers. Look for the logo and new tagline on all Ruby Lane doll related social media, U-Tube channel, blog, newsletters, etc. RUBY LANE SPONSORS THE 68TH ANNUAL UFDC CONVENTION IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA Lane is sponsoring the 2017 United Federation of Doll Clubs (UFDC) 68th Annual Convention which will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2017 through Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Florida. The United Federation of Doll Clubs is a nonprofit organization with the goal of being the foremost in research, education, conservation, collecting, and appreciation of dolls. Many of our shop owners will have a booth with dolls for sale at the convention. The only place to be for the doll collector is in the UFDC sales room. [Ruby Lane]( ) will be providing live streams from the shop owners' booths, the doll competition, and coverage of the exciting special exhibits. Helen Kish has been making dolls for more than 30 years with astonishing genius as an artist, and major acclaim to her credit. In fact, Kish became a doll artist at a time when not many were creating dolls. Her style is unusual because as an art student, she studied drawing and anatomy, as well as other types of art, and applied these techniques to making dolls. The Ruby Lane sponsorship helps to ensure the success of the day, and also helps make possible a generous donation to a variety of charities for veterans. The Rose Percy Project was established in 2010 to aid in the protection and preservation of historic Civil War artifacts that relate to dolls and other childhood items. The mission of Rose Percy herself is to aid those charities that place a special emphasis on soldiers who have suffered brain injuries, and the resulting mental health issues that may accompany them. It is very i mportant for Miss Rose Percy's endeavors to help war veterans and their families, and other worthy causes.
