RPGnet Newsletter #84 January 17, 2017 New Columns As just about always, Christopher Cecil kicked the week off with a new Fuzzy Thinking: ["Ring! Ring!"] And, Lloyd Brown gave another clinic on the Business of Gaming Retail this time taking on ["The Failures of Pre-orders."] New Reviews Antonios S reviewed ["Copper Crown: An Adventure Chronicle,"] the first two adventures for the Sybaroum RPG, and found them both to be great examples of their respective adventure styles. Antonios also looked at several products related to the Mindjammer RPG: - the ["Dominion Quickstart Rules And Adventure"] are a must-buy introduction to the RPG. - [" Mindjammer - The Novel"] has a steep learning curve, but is a treasure chest for fans of the RPG. - ["The City People"] is a "disturbingly perfect" sci-fi horror adventure. - ["Hearts And Minds"] is a political/action adventure straight from our times, despite the sci-fi trappings. Mad Yeoman read ["The Bermuda Triangle Mystery Solved,"] a book on everyone's favorite dangerous three-sided geographical area, and found it to be a great, non-speculative approach to the disappearances there. Antonios S also reviewed the ["Legend Of The Five Rings Dice Sets,"] which discovered it to be one of the most complete dice series ever made for an RPG. Threads You Might Have Missed For some very interesting discussion on the state of the videogame industry and fanbase, check out ["38% of all titles on Steam were added in the last 12 months."] Want to take a stereotypical starting scenario and turn it into something memorable? Yonder on over to ["The Rat Quest."] Up for a laugh? ["[101] Things the Computer says to Alpha Complex citizens."] Sign Off Have a good week, everyone. - Iustum Newsletter Editor --------------------------------------------------------------- You are receiving this email for {NAME} @ RPGnet ({EMAIL}).
