Celebrated internationally on April 22 and this year’s theme is ‘Planet vs. Plastic’. It is a day to reflect on the need to protect our planet and a call to act boldly – every step counts.  While we favour eco-conscious packaging, with 90% of it being recyclable glass and the remaining 10% (including lids, pumps and droppers) made from recyclable plastic, we are aware that protecting the planet goes far beyond labels and packaging. Being sustainable is about making ethical decisions, it means constantly evaluating and evolving, it’s a long-term commitment to give back to the planet we call home.  A recent research by Plastic Soup Foundation shows that 87% of products from the ten best-selling cosmetics brands contain microplastics, which are added to scrubs, shampoos and sunscreens as exfoliating or texturing agents.  At ROWSE, we strictly oppose microplastics. We ensure all our products are made from 100% toxic-free, plant-based and biodegradable ingredients.
