Hello friends, What a month it has been! After a year and a half under COVID restrictions, we are finally (and slowly, and safely) returning to our offices. That doesn't mean we've been resting on our laurels for the last 18 months. September brought with it some big announcements – new teams in new places, new ways of working, and new games collaborations to name a few. Last month, we introduced a new game team based in Toronto, Canada. The team will be lead by industry veteran, Julie Beaugrand, who comes to Rovio from Gameloft. Julie is now recruiting for the Toronto team. [Read more]( Heini Kaihu our new CSO We are happy to share that Heini Kaihu is now our chief sustainability officer. In Heini's words, "We don’t only want to do no harm, we want to be a force for good. This position has been created as a commitment to this vision." [Read more]( Games for a Good Cause Rovio's games supported a number of good causes last month, including Angry Birds 2, which participated in One Special Day for the fourth year, donating all UK in-app purchase revenue for one day to SpecialEffect, a UK-based charity that helps to make games accessible to all.
