Longevity has a lot to do with it, as the list is littered with Hall of Famers who had extremely long careers (Miguel Cabrera, Pudge Rodriguez and Hank Aaron round out the top 5).  WHY WESTBROOK ISN'T A SLAM DUNK TONIGHT The Lakers are likely missing LeBron James and Anthony Davis tonight against Dallas. So are we jamming in Russell Westbrook as the last man standing? Ehh maybe not... "Remember, the matchup here is going to be a big deterrent. While the Mavs have slipped a little defensively since the All Star Break with a 113.4 Defensive Rating (their 108.5 Defensive Rating over the course of the entire season is 7th best), they are allllllways playing at a snail’s pace. Their 95.50 pace over the course of the entire season is the slowest in the league. And it is even slower since the All Star Break (94.38) which, unsurprisingly, has them as the slowest-paced team in the league in that span too. I think we can all agree that a grind-it-out halfcourt kind of game is, uhhhh, not in Westbrook’s best interests these days when it comes to accruing fantasy points."
