AI could hold the key ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ?

AI could hold the key ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Palantir is on a tear... Perhaps it really does show the future. It was up more than 23% after posting an earnings beat earlier this week. Palantir also suggested it is well-placed for the future when it comes to Artificial Intelligence. CEO Alex Karp said that Palantir wants to take "the whole market" when it comes to AI. And that market will be huge. Speaking of major corporations and governments, Karp said every one is a potential client for his company's "unique software." The company posted a quarterly profit rather than the expected loss... And revenue was higher than expected, particularly from American military contractors (no surprise there). Business with commercial clients was up 15% in a year. But all this I think is secondary to the larger Narrative. Palantir (PLTR) is making its play to become the major player in the AI market. And it's not offering some chatbot, but software targeted at the largest companies and corporate entities in the world. Whether or not the company can pull off its ambitions, the dream itself is driving hope in many investors. Everyone's looking at the tech sector right now with both hope and fear. Hope, because of AI; fear, because of the massive layoffs that have taken place. In fact, trillions of dollars in value have been lost. And that's a transformation you can benefit from. Many companies are going to lose, but some, as we've seen with PLTR, are showing that they can win. Danger never comes without opportunity. Keep Moving, Corey Snyder Publisher, Rogue Investing P.S. The Tech Reckoning is coming - reshaping Silicon Valley and the entire stock market. Self-made millionaire trader Jeff Bishop went live last night to explain how one "trigger" could be the key to witnessing hundreds of triple-digit wins as the market reels from this chaos. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said there had been "no movement" in talks with President Joe Biden about raising the federal debt limit and avoiding a default. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has said that it will be a catastrophe if Congress doesn't raise the debt level. - Shocking: Central Banker Unpopular - Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell has equal or lower approval ratings to anyone who has ever served in his job. Just 36% of adults say they have a "great deal" or "fair amount" of confidence that Powell would recommend the right thing for the economy. That's a decline from 58% in April 2020. Most Americans aren't a fan - Swing And A Miss - Airbnb (ABNB) tumbled by close to 12% in after-hours trading. Despite a major earnings beat, the company offered a cautious guidance for the next quarter, saying there may be some "unfavorable year-over-year comparisons in Q2 2023." - Fed Official Warns Of More Rate Hikes - "We haven't said we're done raising rates," New York Fed President John Williams said to the Economic Club of New York. He reaffirmed the Fed's 2% inflation target and said he saw no reason to cut interest rates this year. HOT SPOTS: What's Going on in Geopolitics - Biden Says Border Will Be "Chaotic For A While" - Admitting that trouble is ahead, President Joe Biden said ending the Title 42 pandemic-era rules that limited asylum requests will cause more immigration. He said it "remains to be seen" if the country is ready for what's coming. (I mean, shouldn't he know? He's the president.) - Canada/China Showdown Over Diplomats – China expelled a Canadian diplomat in direct retaliation to Ottawa expelling a Chinese diplomat earlier this week. "We understand there is retaliation, but we will not be intimidated, we will continue to do everything necessary to keep Canadians protected from foreign interreference," said Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. - Another Rate Hike On The Way In England - For the 12th straight time, the Bank of England is expected to hike interest rates this week. Annual headline inflation was still above 10% in March for the country. CUTTING EDGE: What[']( Happening In Tech - MTV News Shuts Down - It's the end of an era. Paramount is also slashing its domestic workforce by a staggering 25%. - Tucker Carlson To Host Twitter Show – Even though Fox News fired him, that isn't stopping Tucker Carlson. He announced on Twitter that he will be starting a new show on the social network. "Amazingly, as of tonight, there aren't many platforms left that allow free speech," he said. "The last big one remaining in the world, the only one, is Twitter, where we are now." - Another Crypto Exchange Collapses - Three weeks after the SEC accused it of violating regulations, Bittrex closed operations in the United States. The company said it was holding all crypto assets of American consumers who hadn't withdrawn their money before April 30. A bankruptcy court may decide what happens to the accounts now. Bitcoin hit just below $2,700 last night FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION --------------------------------------------------------------- "For an army historically known for its endless waves of tanks, a lone T-34 was not a good sign." The assumption among both Western experts - and seemingly, by Russian leaders - is that a long war favors Russia. Ukraine certainly has a lot riding on the coming counteroffensive. But does a long war necessrarily mean Russian victory? Mr. X says Russia today isn't Russia during Napoleon's invasion. A long war may not go Moscow's way.
