Never assume you know what the Fed will do ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ?

Never assume you know what the Fed will do ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ The market got what it wanted... but fear took over near the end of the day. Inflation is cooling, but what if the Fed doesn't care? The latest Consumer Price Index report showed prices rose at the slowest rate since December 2021. The CPI rose by 7.1% in November compared to a year ago. The average before COVID was 2.1%, so we'd consider this horrifying in another context. Still, that's way down from 7.7% in October.  This is exactly what investors were hoping for... so why the sudden pessimism late in the trading day? It looked like it was going to be a historic gain... but investors pulled back. I interpret this as growing evidence of the market's maturity. No one is taking anything for granted. And today comes the test... and the Fed's decision. The assumption is that the Fed will raise interest rates by half a percentage point and gradually slow down the pace of increases. After yesterday's CPI data, this scenario looks more likely than not... but it means we'll see a truly drastic level of volatility if Jerome Powell decides to surprise us. Most investors don't like surprises. We do. It's in the gaps between assumptions and results that fortunes are made. Stay glued to your trading team today. It's going to be a wild one. Keep Moving, DEFY the bear market 111% on NDX in one trading session… 176% on BBBY in a single day… And 313% on DRUG in just three hours… [Click HERE for details]( WORD ON THE STREET Congress Targets TikTok, CPI Shows Slowing Inflation, FedWatch - Exactly What Markets Wanted - Stocks rose early yesterday morning as the new Consumer Price Index showed that inflation rose by less than expected. The cost of living was up just 0.1% on a monthly basis. It's exactly what those who are counting on a dovish Fed wanted to hear. - We Cannot Allow Communists To Control Short Videos Of Funny Animals - Republicans Sen. Marco Rubio and Rep. Mike Gallagher and Democrat Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi are supporting a bill that will block all transactions for social media companies in or supposedly under the influence of China and Russia. FBI Director Chris Wray warned that TikTok is a possible threat to national security, as the Chinese government could potentially gain access to user data. Sorry kid, it's a threat to national security - Hope Is A Dangerous Thing - After yesterday's CPI data, traders are betting that the Fed will hike rates by no more than 50 basis points. More than this, some are suggesting just a couple 25 basis point hikes early next year, with the whole program coming to a halt with rates around 5%. It all depends on how paranoid the Fed is - and whether the central bank is willing to endure recession to bring inflation down to the 2% target.  - A HUGE Healthcare Deal - 2022 is almost done but we just saw the biggest healthcare deal of the year. Amgen is buying Horizon Therapeutics for an eye-popping $27 billion. The main prize is the company's thyroid eye disease drug Tepezza. HZNP started last week below $98 a share but closed Tuesday just shy of $113 a share. Since the dawn of Rogue Investing Daily, Mr. X has been keeping his readers one step ahead… Forecasting picks with returns of 390% in under a year... 442% in less than a month... and 1,154% in 16 months... and urging subscribers to hold back from any new crypto investments right before the crypto bear market. [Stay ahead of market shifts and save 70% today.]( HOT SPOTS: What's Going on in Geopolitics - New Zealand Imposes Lifetime Ban On Cigarettes - In an attempt to end smoking once and for all, New Zealand has passed a lifetime ban on selling cigarettes to people born on or after January 1, 2009. My prediction - those born on or before December 31, 2009 will become far more popular as people keep asking them to buy cigarettes.  - Ukraine Damages Bridge Near Occupied Melitopol – Ukraine claims to have damaged a key bridge to occupied Melitopol, one of the most important cities still held by Russian forces. While Russia claims supply routes will not suffer, outside analysts suggest that this could complicate Moscow's attempt to resupply its forces in the south. - Consume Booster, Get Excited For Next Booster - Remember when they told us one vaccination would end all this? As China reopens, it's doubling down on vaccination to try to combat an expected spike in cases. China rolled out a second booster shot (the fourth shot for you kids keeping score at home) for "high risk groups" to prevent severe cases of COVID-19. Though antibodies are produced within just a week or two of the booster, it takes about a month for the full protective effect to be achieved. CUTTING EDGE: What[']( Happening In Tech - Dystopia Watch: Artificial Womb Facility Unveiled - "EctoLife," an artificial womb facility that is able to "grow" 30,000 babies a year, is being promoted by its director, Hashem Al-Ghaili of Berlin. He says it will make infertility and premature births a thing of the past and allow people to choose the physical characteristics and even the intelligence of their children. Needless to say, many are calling it creepy.  - Crypto Crisis Rolls On – Late yesterday, it was reported that crypto exchange Binance had suffered more than $1.29 billion in capital outflows over the last 24 hours. Don't worry everyone - Binance "temporarily paused" withdrawals of the USDC stablecoin. I'm sure this won't lead to a panic.   - A Fusion First - A lab with the U.S. Department of Energy has successfully produced a controlled nuclear fusion reaction that produced more energy than was used up. It may not sound like much, but it's the first time this has ever been accomplished. In fact, the results were even better than leaked results suggested. The Director of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) called it a "historic achievement." It's a major step towards generating power through nuclear fusion, though there is still a long way to go. But the science works.  Perhaps we won't be needing these FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION "Many pilots nearing the federally mandated retirement age of 65 took lucrative pay packages to exit the industry. Now that demand for travel has soared, there is a full-fledged labor shortage." Biden averted economic catastrophe when he signed bipartisan legislation that prevented a railway strike. Organized labor was not happy, but POTUS had no choice. Unfortunately for him, labor costs and conflicts with management have emerged in another critical industry. And another impossible choice might be facing President Biden before we know it. [WILL POTUS HAVE TO STOP AN AIRLINE STRIKE TOO?]( Enjoying Dawn Report? Learn something, made some money?
