Tesla (TSLA) earnings results could change the game for everyone, but it's important to note this is standard for this time of year. October is the bear killer... and so far it seems that history is following its usual course. THAT SAID - this is a market like no other. There's not only unprecedented volatility in the financial markets and lingering damage from COVID-19... But we have the geopolitical dangers from the war in Ukraine. We may be on the brink of one of the largest battles in modern history. Scratch that... THE biggest battle. Ukrainian forces are lining up for a push near Kherson and the Russians are already "evacuating" civilians from the area. They are not going to give up the occupied city without a fight and Europe may be about to see conflict on a scale not even imagined since World War II. It's more important than ever to trade options, options, options... guided by your technical toolkit and with backup from the best in the game. That's Chris Hood, and he's got the information you need about why options, now, are more important than ever. Keep Moving, WORD ON THE STREET NFLX Roars Back, Kherson Attack, Ukraine Into The Black - 1/3 Of Ukrainian Power Stations Destroyed - After a devastating series of missile strikes and drone attacks, about a third of Ukraine's power stations have been destroyed. This can't be chalked up to Russian propaganda -  the information was offered by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Calling the situation critical, the mayor of Kyiv, the capital city, told residents to prepare for blackouts.  - Netflix Defies The Doomers - Netflix (NFLX) unveiled its plan for cracking down on password sharing, rolling out a system where subscribers will pay a fee for "sub accounts" or "extra members." Investors rejoiced as NFLX beat expectations on third quarter earnings and added 2.4 million subscribers. NFLX was up more than 14% in after-hours trading. Now showing... the greatest comeback. (But don't share your password) - Russian Commander Calls Situation "Tense," Warns Of Difficult Decisions - General Sergei Surovikin, new commander of Russian forces in Ukraine, warned that the situation in the city of Kherson is "tense" and suggested residents may need to evacuate to avoid a Ukrainian counterattack. He also said "difficult decisions" lie ahead; a possible suggestion that Russia is considering yet another retreat before advancing Ukrainian forces. Russian reinforcements are still months away in many cases. - United Airlines Soars Into Profits - United Airlines was up 3% and more than 6% in after-hours trading after it reported earnings of $2.81 per share, beating expectations of just $2.28 per share. It also beat revenue estimates and figures show strong consumer demand for trips abroad. COVID-19 travel restrictions are firmly in the rearview mirror. "3-Pillar" strategy spots a 108% surge in just 4 days... RapidFire is on fire — with new trades are on the verge of exploding soon! [Click here to learn more](. HOT SPOTS: What's Going on in Geopolitics - Ukrainians Hold Out In Bakhmut, But For How Long? - Radio Free Europe (a pro-Ukrainian source) reports that the 30th Mechanized Brigade is holding out against Russian forces despite being "hit from all sides." The Russian opposition consists of separatist forces and members of the infamous Wagner private military corporation, who are becoming more politically powerful. If they can deliver a victory for Russia in this key city, it may lead to a shakeup in the Kremlin. - Ukraine To Cut Ties To Iran – Ukraine's Foreign Minister is advocating an outright break with Iran after the Islamic Republic resupplied the Russian army with drones and possibly surface to surface missiles. "Tehran bears full responsibility for the destruction of relations with Ukraine," said Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. "I am submitting to the president of Ukraine a proposition to sever diplomatic ties with Iran."  - Hey, Even Elvis Did Military Service - South Korean fans are in mourning after members of the Kpop group BTS have been conscripted as part of the republic's military duties. Some wanted the boy band exempted under special regulations because of their status. However, the members of the band say they are "looking forward to reconvening as a group again around 2025 following their service commitment." See, just a bunch of clean cut, all-American, er, all-Korean lads doing their bit for their country.  CUTTING EDGE: What[']( Happening In Tech - AI Content Platform Raises Big Bucks - Get used to hearing the name "Jasper." The "AI Content" platform brought home $125 million in a fundraising round and its current valuation is $1.5 billion. The company is working to make AI a part of everyday life for firms. And c'mon - you've seen the cool art that AI can make these days.  - German Cyber-Security Head FIRED – Arne Schönbohm, head of Germany's cyber security agency, has been fired because of alleged ties to Russian intelligence. He co-founded an organization called the "German Cyber Security Council" about a decade ago... and one of the members is a company started by a Russian intelligence agent. German media have been all over the story, and they can claim Schönbohm's scalp in this case. - The Election Has NOTHING To Do With This - President Joe Biden is expected to announce that the United States will release 15 million barrels from the US strategic petroleum reserve in an attempt to bring down prices. Critics might say that it's a transparent election gambit, but clearly, we wouldn't want to be questioning the way Our Democracy functions. In fairness, POTUS said the USA will begin restocking the reserve when prices hit a range of $62 to $72 per barrel. Currently Brent Crude is above $90 a barrel. Perhaps the President will prove to just be a great commodities trader.  Increasing gasoline prices pose a dire threat to the Democrats' control of Congress FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION "Regardless of what everyone tells you, the best investment right now is learning how to trade options. It will let you make money no matter how low the market falls." the market on the way to recovery? Or is this just a dead cat bounce as we prepare to plunge into a global recession? The truth is, when it comes to your bottom line, it shouldn't matter. Master the world of options and make profits no matter what the market is doing.
