About $7 billion in shares liquidated ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ A number of major misses on earnings has the market nervous this morning. Roblox (RBLX) is down big after missing expectations on earnings and revenue... Coinbase (COIN), not surprisingly, is in the same situation. And all 30 of the stocks on the Philadelphia semiconductor index were down. That's even as the federal government is moving forward on a massive program to provide more funding for American semiconductor manufacturing. While the strong jobs market makes it hard to say we are in a recession - at least for now - many companies are playing it cautious. Company investments in startups are also way down. Data from Pitchbook show that the value of US deals financed by company investment units in the second quarter are down by more than 20%. What I'm looking for are the earnings results for Disney (DIS) after market close today. That's going to provide us with a valuable look at theme park attendance, streaming, consumer goods, and just about every other facet of the economy. Thus far, it looks like the strong jobs market is going to hold up... But that is cold comfort if inflation continues to outpace wage increases. In an economic environment like this, trading is a necessity for pure financial survival. Keep Moving, Any strategy that makes you money consistently is worthwhile. Though many new traders believe that trading is primarily about indicators and tools, Chris maintains that it is at least 95% about emotional control. This is especially relevant in this bearish, choppy market which has made the trading world extremely difficult. Learn some pro tips to come back from your losses and stay in the game. [CLICK HERE TO WATCH]( WORD ON THE STREET F-150 Price Increase, CHIPS Act Doesn't Stop Decline, "Sticky" Inflation - POTUS Signs CHIPS Act, Stocks Bomb Anyway - President Joe Biden signed the CHIPS Act, which will help fund construction of about half a dozen major semiconductor manufacturing facilities in the United States. "Today is a day for builders," said President Biden. "Today, America is delivering." However, every single member of the Philadelphia semiconductor index was down on the day, with Micron Technology (MU) cutting its revenue projection. - Ford Raises Price On F-150 EV – Due to rising raw material costs, Ford (F) is raising the price of its electric F-150, the cornerstone of its effort to bring EVs to a mass market. Ford reported last month that it expected commodity costs to increase by $4 billion this year. The cheapest electric F-150 "Pro" Model EV will cost about $47,000 - Roblox Plunges After Disastrous Earnings Report – Roblox (RBLX), once considered the standard bearer for the metaverse, is down more than 19% in after-hours trading after it reported that its net loss exceeded expectations. Bookings were also down 4% year-over-year, suggesting that the company's spectacular growth may have finally plateaued. - Allianz Chief Economist: Inflation Here To Stay - Mohamed El-Erian of Allianz, who also serves as president of Queens' College, had some bad news for those who think the Fed is on top of inflation. He argued that core inflation (which excludes energy and food) will remain "stubbornly high," ending up at between 4.5% and 5.5%. The Fed has vowed interest rate hikes until inflation hits just 2%. El-Erian said the "sticky" nature of inflation means that the negative trend "has become more entrenched and become more broad-based in our economy." "3-Pillar" strategy spots a 108% surge in just 4 days... RapidFire is on fire — with new trades are on the verge of exploding soon! [Click here to learn more](. HOT SPOTS: What's Going on in Geopolitics - Massive Strike Hits Russian Forces In Crimea – A massive strike hit a Russian military base in Crimea, far behind the front lines. Ukrainian government officials said this was "just the beginning," though the government didn't take formal responsibility for the attack. At least one Russian was killed. - Wargames Show America Would Pay Heavy Cost Defending Taiwan – American defense experts have been conducting simulations in preparation for a possible Chinese invasion of Taiwan. While most - though not all - wargames show the United States would be able to repel an invasion, there is a heavy cost. "The cost will be very high to the Taiwanese infrastructure and economy and to US forces in the Pacific," said Mark Cancian of the Center for Strategic and International Studies. - Negotiations Continue On New Iran Nuke Deal - While US-Iranian relations are strained, to say the least, negotiations are still being conducted on a new version of the nuclear deal that was scrapped by the Trump Administration. The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action is designed to curb Iran's nuclear ambitions in exchange for lessening economic sanctions. Iran is reportedly still bucking at some key conditions, so it is by no means clear the deal can be renewed. Some Iranian officials are also worried any deal could potentially be ditched by a future American administration, making the acquisition of nuclear weapons the only guarantee they can count on. CUTTING EDGE: What[']( Happening In Tech - North Korea Using Crypto To Fund Nukes - Of course, this might just be the excuse the federal government is using to crack down on crypto - but that doesn't mean it isn't true. Anne Neuberger, the deputy national secretary for cyber and emerging technology, said she is "very concerned about North Korea's cyber capabilities." She alleged that stolen crypto is responsible for funding up to a third of North Korea's nuclear weapons program. - Musk Makes Massive Sale Of Tesla (TSLA) – Tesla Tecnoking Elon Musk has reportedly sold 7.92 million shares of the EV company, bringing in an estimated $6.88 billion. The sale was revealed in new financial documents made public last night. The sale could have a major impact on the company, as Musk had said he had "no further TSLA sales planned" after April 28, but this sale took place earlier this month. - Saudi Spy At Twitter - Ahmad Abouammo, a US resident born in Egypt, has been convicted of spying for Saudi Arabia, money laundering, conspiracy to commit wire fraud and falsifying records. Now facing a sentence between 10 and 20 years in prison, the former media partnership manager for Twitter in 2015 allegedly helped de-facto Saudi leader Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman silence dissidents.  Awkward considering the Biden Administration is currently begging him to pump more oil FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION "I see those cars bouncing back and forth inside the lane, putting their tires on the shoulder, and more frightening – edging over into my lane. Even when I try to stay calm, I can’t help cursing under my breath. ‘Stay in your lane, a**hole!'" trading "lanes" is key to success. Traders get in trouble when they start following the crowd instead of operating in the sweet spot between lanes.
