Breaking the downtrend... Now what? ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  03/20/2022  "The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us." - Ecclesiastes 9:10 What a beautiful rally... Really though, it was hard to miss this week as it was one of the best we've seen in some time. I know the [RapidFire]( team was happy to take a 108% gain on VEON Friday morning. But despite the "Three White Soldiers" making it over the 50sma, we've still got some overhead resistance to combat in the SPY... The 200sma is peering down on Friday's close along with that feisty $452 mark just waiting to put its hand on our chest: This isn't the only thing to consider, of course. There's the geopolitical environment, rife with head-splitting concerns... ...the likely consequences of an overheated printing machine... ...an overwhelmingly negative investor sentiment... and everyone's wallet feeling frightfully lighter. Although many would have us believe that everything will be taken care of and that all will be alright, we're not seven years old. We know there will eventually be hell to pay... even in America where we have "the only president ever to cut the deficit by more than one trillion dollars in a single year." (What a wordsmith.) But none of what's happening is previously unseen. These are all parts of the greater cycle that have moved us up and down since we can remember. And frankly, in light of all these things, it makes it easier for us and the rest of our readers and inner circle... At Rogue Investing, our focus is not about what "should" be or what's "wrong" in the financial world... No. It's about finding how to squeeze every single drop out of the market, together...
