Plus, a Major Employment Data Catalyst Ahead The big report of the week showed job growth was stronger than expected in September, which tells us the economy is still strong in the face of higher interest rates… Nonfarm payrolls rose by 336,000, way above estimates of 170,000, and the unemployment rates came in at 2.8% versus estimates of 3.7%. This means the Federal Reserve can continue raising interest rates, and the [markets did not like this news]( with the major indices selling hard the moment it was reported. The Financials sector was starting to rise the past couple of days after a big sell-off, which is good news. I’ll cover each of the major sectors in this morning’s video.
