Trading volume is still sluggish after the long holiday weekend but starting to pick up a bit. Jobless claims have been resilient, which gives the Federal Reserve room to continue raising interesting rates. Meanwhile, Apple fell hard Thursday after it was announced China is banning its public employees from using iPhones, but this is overblown because it’s not that many people, about a half-million. But the question is the future impact it could have on other stocks… Meaning, is this just the first of what could be several steps Beijing takes against the U.S. and its companies?
