This week the earnings season floodgates burst open, with a number of heavy hitters reporting. Johnson & Johnson and Verizon report before the bell Tuesday, with Microsoft reporting after the close. Wednesday brings reports from AT&T and Boeing before the open, with Tesla and IBM reporting after the close. And on Thursday we have Comcast, Southwest, American Airlines and JetBlue all reporting before the bell, with Intel ending the day with its report after the close. In terms of data, we have some big reports on the schedule ahead of the next Federal Open Market Committee meeting beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 31. We get durable goods orders, retail inventories, international trade in goods, jobless claims and gross domestic product on Thursday. Friday will bring information on personal income and outlays and consumer sentiment. Investors are keen to see how the economy is faring ahead of the FOMC meeting announcement on Wednesday, Feb. 1, where the Fed is expected to raise interest rates 0.25%, bringing rates into a target range of 4.5%-4.75%. In this morning’s stock market recap video, I’ll discuss whether put buyers or call buyers drove prices last week… which stocks to watch for earnings and how they’ll impact the market… whether bonds are ready for another short or need a bit more upside… which sector is grossly oversold and needs to rally… which sector is getting too strong for its own good in the short term… key levels on major indices you need to watch this week… plus the most likely scenario for the Dow and rest of the market! Sure enough, sales followed his call and dropped to the lowest levels since 2015. It’s safe to say he’s seen a lot of market mayhem throughout his career. And Jeff just uncovered a major “Financial Hurricane” set to hit in 2023… If you’re not prepared for the storm ahead, you could get whisked away. But Jeff has a game plan — a 90-day market mission to get traders out of the dust... And he’s revealing it LIVE at 2 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Jan. 24.
