Plus My Top Sector, Option Play]( The major indexes headed lower, looking to give back some of Wednesday’s gains — and more in Thursday’s stock market recap. We got the gross domestic product report Thursday morning, and one of the numbers came in better than expected. The quarter-over-quarter annual rate met consensus estimates and the previous quarter’s number of a 0.6% contraction. While it would’ve been a good sign to see that number come in a little bit stronger, I was most concerned with how personal consumption expenditures held up, because this is the number that indicates whether or not people are spending more. And personal consumption expenditures did not disappoint! The number came in at 2%, above both the estimate of 1.5% and the range of 1.5-1.7%, indicating there’s still strength to be found among consumers. In this morning’s stock market recap video, I’ll discuss how to position yourself and where to find the best opportunities in the market right now… where the biggest risk is… how to interpret current momentum data... the key levels in the Dow and S&P 500… whether this is a dead-cat bounce or a real reversal… plus my top sector and option pick! This phenomenon has shown the potential to pay out 11 times the S&P 500’s returns within five years.* And it’s all possible thanks to a rare event that’s only played out FOUR times during the past century. Look, I’ve made some pretty big predictions during my 28 years trading markets… But nothing — and I mean NOTHING — so far compares with what you’re about to see... [See What It Is Here]( [Our Top Stocks, Sectors for Q4 — and Where the S&P Could End the Year]( In this week’s roundtable, we covered: - Our favorite stocks and sectors for the fourth quarter. - Where we see the S&P 500 by the end of the year. - The bond-buying spree on the back of the moves by the Bank of England. - A rare crypto chat and where Ethereum and Bitcoin are likely heading. - Lance’s favorite short-term trading strategy right now. - And more! And be sure to join Joy of the Trade’s Jeff Zananiri, New Money Crew’s Lance Ippolito and yours truly, Senior Strategist Roger Scott, each Wednesday at 11 a.m. EDT for the WealthPress Live Roundtable, where we’ll discuss the biggest topics on Wall Street.
