On May 20, we were at 5,330 in the S&P 500 and 60% of stocks were trading above their 50-day moving averages. Today, that number is just 37% while whe market has risen to 5,510. About 51% of stocks across all markets are trading above their 200-day MA, and when that falls below 50%, that’s the textbook definition of a bear market. This is a major, major problem.
