Today, claims came in at 22K versus 231K previously, and estimates of 220K — nothing burger. [Walmart (WMT) is up over 6% on earnings,]( which could help propel retailers higher today. Crude oil is right at its 100- and 200-day moving averages and forming a base. The longer it bases out the better because that tells us it’s fairly priced. Gold, meanwhile, is at the upper end of its channel and moving higher — I like what I’m seeing here. Bonds (TLT) are trading above their 200-day moving average, and we’re officially entering a deflationary environment — I personally think bonds will fall back down.
