Happy Thursday! I just got back from Boston where I spent 3 wonderful days with my daughter Vivian.

Happy Thursday! I just got back from Boston where I spent 3 wonderful days with my daughter Vivian. And it was crazy, because Boston was getting ready for "4th July - Independence Day". Freedom. It's a word that gets thrown around a lot, isn't it? But what does it really mean? For me, after breaking free from the rat race, I've come to realize that freedom operates on four distinct levels. Let's dive into each one. WHAT- Choosing Your Path The first level of freedom is all about choice. The choice of WHAT you do. This week, I wanted to spend some time with my daughter. And I didn't have to ask a boss for vacation days. In fact, I didn't have to ask ANYBODY if it was ok for me to take a few days off, or if somebody could "cover for me". I could just book a first class flight, stay at the "Hotel Commonwealth" right next to Fenway Park, buy us some Lobster Rolls for $85 for lunch, and load my daughter's "Charlie Card" for public transportation with another $100... just to name a few things we did. The freedom to choose what you want to do is powerful. Because this level of freedom means being the master of your own destiny, and let me tell you, it feels amazing. WHEN - Choosing Your Time Next up is the freedom of WHEN. It's all about timing — mastering your own schedule. Remember the 9-5 grind? Scratch that. Now my “work” happens on my terms. I prefer trading in the first 15-30 minutes after the markets open but that’s only because it fits my lifestyle the best. I could trade anytime during the day. And if I decide to take a Wednesday off just because I can, that's my freedom. This week, I placed my trades at 9:30am and then met with my daughter for breakfast. And I didn't have to do anything else, other than spending time with her! Trust me, there’s nothing quite like the freedom of owning your time. WHERE: Choosing Your Location Imagine this: Working from anywhere you choose. A beach in Bali? - Sure. A café in Paris? - Why not? Your own back deck overlooking the sunset? - Absolutely. Winter in Florida and summer in Colorado? - Why not? In the world of trading and investing, your office is wherever you want it to be. It's about not being chained to a single location but having the world as your playground. And if I choose to move my "office" from hot and steamy Austin, TX to a much more pleasant Boston weather for a few days, I can just do that! WITH WHOM: Choosing Fun Last, but definitely not least, is the freedom of WITH WHOM. It's about the people you surround yourself with. In the corporate world, you don't get to choose your company. But now, I choose to be around those who uplift and inspire me, not those who drain my energy. This level of freedom is about cultivating a circle of positive, like-minded individuals who support and encourage each other. It's about leaving behind the naysayers and the negative influences, and embracing a community that fuels your growth and happiness. It's about having more fun! So, there you have it — the four levels of freedom. It's not just about financial independence, it's about a complete transformation of your life. It's about the freedom to choose your path, own your time, roam the world, and surround yourself with positivity. Have a great day - and make it happen!
