(I literally have brain damage.) Hey {NAME}, I had to go to the doctor, get injected with some weird chemical, and then lie down in this tube-thingy for about 30 minutes while it scanned my actual brain. The reason I had this test done was because over the years, I've become more and more introverted ...and I've had more and more issues with social anxiety. This is why you hardly ever see me speaking at events or doing any of that stuff. It's also why I don't have a mastermind. Crowds freak me out. But after getting the results of my brain scan back ...I learned that it's not crowds that freak me out. It's PEOPLE. Turns out I have actual brain damage ...and aside from the usual ADHD and all that, I have something going on in my amygdala where my "fight or flight" response is always on ...maxed out 24/7. My doctor told me that it's the same level of fight or flight response that he sees in combat veterans. Which is really strange because I've had an awesome life and I've never experienced anything remotely as intense as combat. Oh and there's more ... On top of that, my brain can't interperet other people's emotions properly. No matter what the other person is doing, my brain's first impulse is to tell me they're either angry, afraid, or sad. SUPER FUN! (Actually, I'm a generally happy person and I really enjoy life ...so no complaints.) HOWEVER ...this is why I'm so introverted. This is why I avoid people. It's kind of embarassing ...but whatever.
