Help us give back to Caregivers this Giving Tuesday! [Road Scholar]( [Road Scholar] Make a Difference in the Lives of 10 Caregivers Today [Donate Now]( Dear {NAME}, At Road Scholar, we understand the importance of supporting family caregivers who sacrifice so much to help others. More than 43 million Americans are currently serving as caregivers for loved ones, and we know that for many of our participants, this is their reality. Like Diane G. from Denver, Colo., whose husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease three years ago. As his condition has worsened, Diane was forced to take an early retirement to care for her husband full time — a move that added a strain to their finances and has taken an emotional toll on Diane. “While I love my husband and will take care of him as long as I possibly can, I have also had to admit that I was burned out,” says Diane. “That’s why when a friend told me about Road Scholar’s Caregiver Grants, I knew that I had to apply. It was wonderful spending a week with others learning and enjoying the nature of Chincoteague Island. I was able to rest, and returned to my husband with a renewed strength and ability to help him on his journey.” Road Scholar’s Caregiver Grants provide financial assistance to enable unpaid family caregivers who are age 50 and older to experience an enriching learning adventure, and benefit from much-needed respite to counter the emotional and physical demands of being a caregiver. That’s why we’re reaching out to you today. As a not-for-profit organization, we depend on the support of our friends like you to fund these much-needed opportunities. Today on Giving Tuesday, we want to create an additional 10 Road Scholar Caregiver Grants at a cost of $15,000. [Can we count on you to support our Caregivers Grants?]( With your help, we’ll be able to change the lives of caregivers who will truly benefit from the camaraderie and rejuvenation of a Road Scholar learning adventure. On behalf of all the caregivers in our community, thank you for being there for them.
