[RiskHedge Report] Our most “unusual” analyst… and what makes him that way [Chris Reilly] By Chris Reilly - RiskHedge   Chris Wood is an unusual guy. Chris, if you don’t know, is our chief investment officer here at RiskHedge, and editor of our Project 5X advisory. In it, he pinpoints tiny tech [“Sleeper Stocks”]( that have the potential to rocket 250%, 500%, or more, rather quickly. But first, you’re probably wondering why I’m calling him “unusual.” Let me explain… I recently returned from a much-needed work trip at our RiskHedge headquarters in New England (something we were doing much more often before COVID-19 hit). If you’re like me, the whole working from home thing is fine, but it gets old. So it was nice seeing all my colleagues face to face after more than a year. Instead of staying in a hotel, we rented out this 8-bedroom house. Source: [Airbnb]( One night, we had just gotten back from a cookout at our founding partner’s home. It was late, around 10 pm. As the rest of us settled in, Chris Wood was nowhere to be found. He was upstairs at his desk… Glasses on... Laptop open… Head buried in the screen. “Chris, what are you doing?” He said: “I’m researching this month’s microcap pick.” And the look on his face said: “What else would I be doing?” - Honestly… I shouldn’t have been surprised… When we’re not together in person, we use Slack—the workplace messaging platform—to collaborate. It’s our lively “war room”—where we share investment ideas, post articles, and edit write-ups. Some nights I’m on there pretty late wrapping up a RiskHedge Report. And nearly every night, there’s Chris Wood—with the bright green “active” icon next to his name. I don’t think the guy sleeps. In fact, our publisher, who’s worked with Chris for 10 years, says Chris used to sleep under his desk after putting in 18-hour days. Like I said, unusual! And I don’t just mean “works extra hard” unusual. His path to becoming one of the best stock pickers on the planet was unusual too. Chris’s rise to investing stardom wasn’t like most others. He never worked on Wall Street… he wasn’t “born rich”… he didn’t receive any handouts. - In fact, Chris was an underdog most of his life…  [That’s why we say he’s RiskHedge’s very own, real-life David vs. Goliath story.]( Chris played football in college. He was a “walk on” at the Longhorns football team at the University of Texas… a 5’8” kid competing for a roster spot. Here’s the ’98 roster (and yes, that’s the NFL legend Ricky Williams above him): Source: [Texas Sports]( - “I wish I could say I was a stud,” Chris told me… “But truth is, I sat on the bench during games and got my butt kicked in practice by guys who were a lot bigger than me!” After college, Chris worked his way up as a business appraiser. He was a “go-to guy” in New Orleans for determining the value of hotels, restaurants, and truck stops. Today, Chris helps Project 5X readers pick tiny stocks with potential to soar 5X or more at a minimum. Last year, his portfolio crushed the market by 693%. How does he do it? His specialty is zeroing in on the world’s top Sleeper Stocks. In short, Sleeper Stocks are tiny, under-the-radar companies. They’re microcaps with market caps of $300 million or less that are poised to disrupt their much larger competitors, and potentially soar 250%, 500%, even 1,000% or more in the process. Just in the last year, Chris’s readers realized a 422% profit on Magnite (MGNI)… 376% profit on eXp World Holdings (EXPI)… 251% profit on Personalis (PSNL)… and a 399% profit on Kopin (KOPN)… Along with winners of 118% on Akoustis Technologies (AKTS), 166% on Resonant (RESN), and 288% on Atomera (ATOM). I owe Chris a personal thanks, too. I booked my first 10-bagger ever earlier this year from one of Chris’s recommendations. I bought streaming tech play Magnite in April 2020, a few months after he alerted Project 5X members about the opportunity. Remember: This was in the middle of the “COVID crash,” when buying stocks was the last thing on most investors’ minds. Magnite was cheap. But I never would have taken a stab if it weren’t for Chris’s alerts during that time. As he said: “This washout is handing us a once-in-a-decade opportunity.” He told subscribers Magnite (called The Rubicon Project at the time) was a screaming buy. I don’t remember anyone else pounding the table as hard as Chris was during those darkest days of the COVID crash. So I put some money in the tiny stock. And boy, was I glad I listened… It went on to soar 1,100% from my purchase price—my first 10-bagger. And I should say that I’m far from a seasoned investor. I’m just a guy who followed Chris’s guidance at the right time. Why am I telling you all this? - Just a few hours ago[, Chris shared his secret to finding these Sleeper Stocks for the first time ever]( on camera in our highly anticipated event… [Chris Wood: A Real-Life David vs. Goliath Story](. It’s an event I had the pleasure of hosting. Thousands of RiskHedge readers tuned in to hear Chris’s unusual story—including many details I didn’t get into in today’s issue. More important, they learned how they can potentially build an absolute fortune in the markets by buying the right Sleeper Stocks using Chris’s bulletproof system. I know many of you have busy schedules. So, to accommodate that, we’ve released a free replay to make sure you get a chance to watch. You can [watch it here right now](. That’s all for this week.
