I’m outside my lane again Right now there are protests all over America over the murder of George Floyd. And most of these protests are legitimate. Protesting is a constitutional right covered by the right of free speech AND the right to assemble. The danger comes when hate groups use this murder for their own agendas rather than for a part in a national conversation. When hate groups turn protests into violence and riots the true message gets lost in anger and hate. Corona, the volatile economy, and race relations are all flashpoints. Stay cool. Stay informed. Protest for justice not for hate. The hate groups want to turn protests into riots. Do not work for hate groups. Unfortunately, racism exists in the depths of the human soul. My family was locked in concentration camps in WWII. Their homes, their land, and their property stolen. My roommate in New York was black. The racism he experienced was far worse than even that of my family. Yet experiencing racism inspired us to be better people. You can be a pawn and riot for the hate groups, or you can choose to use this conversation and allow it to inspire you to become a more noble person.
