Re: An important message regarding sales tax & your Rev account

Starting 7/1, Rev will begin charging sales tax in certain states [Rev Logo] Dear valued customer, We’re writing once again to inform you of an important change to our sales tax policy that could affect your Rev account. As a reminder, we will begin collecting sales tax where required in the USA starting July 1, 2021 in order to comply with state and local laws. You may have noticed that we’ve been collecting addresses at checkout; this is to ensure that we’re only collecting sales tax in states where we’re obligated to do so. Rev.com customers, invoice customers, prepay customers, and Rev.com API customers checking out on desktop or mobile web will be impacted by sales tax changes in [the states where required](. Customers purchasing services through mobile apps, Rev.ai customers, and Rev Live Captions customers will not be affected. If you are a customer with a prepaid account balance, sales taxes will be deducted from that amount. Please note that we will not be collecting sales tax retroactively — we will only be collecting sales tax for orders placed on July 1 and afterward.
