Here's how the IRC is responding: - We are working with dedicated partners providing essential health, medical and psychosocial services, along with emergency relief items such as food and winter clothing. - This includes essential medicines, medical supplies and expertise on public health in emergency situations. - The IRC is also planning to deploy an emergency health team, in collaboration with a partner, into Gaza in support of urgent medical and public health needs at hospitals, if conditions allow. Right now, my colleagues are on the ground in Egypt, making provision for the IRC to be able to contribute to the pipeline of aid that is slowly ramping up.
