Help us take advantage of this 3x matching gift and rush aid to families in crisis zones [International Rescue Committee logo.]( {NAME} â As you're reading this message, there are more displaced people around the world than there have been since the end of World War II. Over the past several weeks, the humanitarian situation has grown even more dire as we face a worsening crisis in Ukraine and a devastating climate-driven disaster in Libya. As we stare down so many simultaneous crises, one thing has been made very clear: your support and our work have never been more critical. That's why I wanted to share this important update on the IRC's work to help refugees and displaced people worldwide... along with a special opportunity to multiply your impact helping people whose lives have been upended by conflict and disaster. Through midnight tonight, your gift will be matched three times (every gift, dollar for dollar will be triple matched by an anonymous donor). That can mean [three times the nutritional support, three times the clean water and three times the medical supplies for children and families in crisis zones around the world.]( [RUSH 3X THE AID »](
The IRC's work is especially personal to me, {NAME}. My parents were refugees, just like many of the clients we serve across the world. And through my work with the IRC, I've seen firsthand how incredibly difficult it is to be displaced from your home, forced to rebuild elsewhere. To show you the impact your 3X matched gift can do, I wanted to share some stories from places where the IRC is helping refugees and displaced people around the world. I hope these stories will have the same impact on you as they have for me â and remember, [your gift could make three times the difference for children and families in situations just like these:](

In Vasylenkove village, Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine, locals Taisiia and Oleh receive hygiene kits from IRC employee Andriy. These hygiene kits consist of vital products for personal hygiene and cleaning. Heavy shelling and nearby fighting in the early months of the war meant that residents had no access to supplies or medical care in their village. Now, the IRC is supplying basic household items to families, as well as providing routine medical care through our mobile medical teams. IRC mobile medical teams respond to the aftermath of catastrophic flooding in Libya caused by two dams that collapsed following Storm Daniel in September 2023.
Following devastating floods in Libya earlier this month, the IRC is working with local partners and Libyan authorities to provide immediate assistance to families displaced by the disaster. Weâre prioritizing health and protection services, including field hospitals, mobile medical teams, psychosocial support and dignity kits, as well as basic household items for families. Elie Abouaoun, the director of our response, recently gave us this update on our response: ÙباÙتاÙÙ ÙØ٠اÙ

"As a result, we are facing a disaster that has immediate implications for the inability to provide health, education, and other services, but it also has larger implications for the ability of the communities affected by the hurricane to secure their livelihoods in the near and medium term. The International Rescue Committee is working on several programs to accelerate the recovery process in these areas." In Kenya, IRC-sponsored medical teams provide care for refugees who have fled escalating conflict in neighboring Sudan. Here, the IRC provides aid to over 500,000 displaced people, as well as Kenyans affected by the four consecutive failed rainy seasons in the country. Here, Dr. Sila Monthe, health manager for the IRC at Kakuma, checks Vanessa, 1, for malnutrition. When children show signs of malnutrition, the IRC helps by providing therapeutic food and training for caregivers to help children recover from malnutrition.
