{NAME}, your support goes three times as far until midnight tonight. {NAME}, There are only a few hours left to help us reach our goal — to raise $50,000 to send humanitarian aid to children and families in conflict zones like Ukraine. Yesterday, my colleague Joanna shared this incredible story of one family who has been touched by IRC supporters' generosity. [Please, make a gift before midnight to help us reach even more children and families. Your first donation will be triple matched >>]( Thank you for helping us reach this critical goal, which will power our humanitarian response in Ukraine and other crisis zones across the globe. — Hank SEND AID TO CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN CONFLICT ZONES: MIDNIGHT DEADLINE [Deadline midnight]( {NAME}, please TRIPLE your impact today. [3X MATCH YOUR GIFT >>]( [From:Joanna @ IRC Ukraine Communications To: {EMAIL} Subject: [Ukraine Update] "We live without planning tomorrow."]( Over the past several weeks, worsening crises, devastating natural disasters, and climate-induced catastrophes have made one thing clear: your support and our work has never been more critical. {NAME}, I hope you'll read this update regarding our work to help children and families in conflict zones like Ukraine, thanks to help from humanitarians like you. — Hank [International Rescue Committee logo.]( "We live without planning tomorrow... Currently, our home village is under heavy shelling every day." — Tetiana, 36, Ukraine [3X YOUR IMPACT »]( {NAME}, When war broke out in Ukraine, Tetiana was reluctant to uproot her family or flee the country she loves. But as the fighting escalated, they could no longer stay put. One night, as she and her two daughters hid in a basement to avoid shelling, Tetiana made the decision to leave their home behind. Right now, conflict is escalating in Ukraine and other crisis zones. [We've set a goal to raise $50,000 before midnight tomorrow to support children and families forced to flee their homes. Please, make a gift before the deadline and your first donation will be triple matched >>]( [Tetiana's daughters Katya, 13, and Arisha, 4, are photographed at a shelter supported by the IRC in Odesa, Ukraine]( Tetiana's daughters Katya, 13, and Arisha, 4, are photographed at a shelter supported by the IRC in Odesa, Ukraine. [3X YOUR IMPACT »]( The morning after she decided to flee, Tetiana loaded Katya, 13, and Arisha, 4, into their car, bringing only their identification documents and basic necessities. They drove west to Odesa, where they now live in a shelter supported by the IRC. At the shelter, Tetiana and her daughters have found comfort and purpose being surrounded by other children and families who have been displaced by the war. The IRC has been working directly with displaced families in Ukraine like Tetiana’s since the war escalated in February 2022. Our 230 national staff members are working across four offices in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro and Odesa to provide humanitarian assistance to people living in the east and south of the country, which have experienced the heaviest fighting. In the hardest hit areas of Ukraine, accessing cash or purchasing goods has become a challenge. The IRC is providing tangible goods, such as hygiene kits, feminine products, clothing and toys and games for children. We are also providing beds, mattresses and sleeping bags to shelters like the one where Tetiana and her daughters are staying. Right now, you have the opportunity to make a life-changing difference for children and families forced to flee their homes. [Please, make a gift today to power our humanitarian response in Ukraine and other crisis zones. When you give before tomorrow’s deadline, you'll make three times the impact >>]( Thank you for standing with children and families in conflict zones, {NAME}. — Joanna Joanna Nahroska Senior Officer, Ukraine Communications International Rescue Committee The International Rescue Committee | [Rescue.org]( 122 East 42nd Street, New York, New York 10168-1289 USA To ensure future delivery of IRC e-mails, please add our reply address updates@rescue.org to your Address Book.
