[Subway Busker Assaulted with Metal Bottle in Violent Attack] [Subway Busker Assaulted with Metal Bottle in Violent Attack]( 14-Year-Old Shoots and Kills Man Allegedly Attempting Break-Ins in East Harris County Neighborhood CHANNELVIEW, Texas - A 14-year-old reportedly shot and killed a man who was knocking on doors and potentially attempting to break into homes in an east Harris County neighborhood. The shooting took place in the Clover Leaf area on Thursday morning. According to investigators, two different homeowners called the authorities about the suspicious man around 6:50 a.m. The man had been asking for money and was seen wearing a backpack and gloves. At one point, the man knocked on the door of a home where a 14-year-old was alone inside. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez stated that the teenager's mother had just left to drop off other children and the father was also away at the time. Subsequently, the teenager grabbed a pistol and fired several shots outside, hitting the man who was later pronounced dead at the scene. Gonzalez mentioned that the teen fired five to six shots. The homeless outreach team of the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported that the deceased man was an unhoused individual they had encountered in the area in the past. As of now, the 14-year-old is reportedly cooperating with law enforcement officers, and no charges have been filed. The incident is still under investigation.
