[Five Teenagers Convicted for Streaming Violent Assault on Minor via Social Media] [Five Teenagers Convicted for Streaming Violent Assault on Minor via Social Media]( Explosions Along Iran's Gas Pipeline Network Blamed on Sabotage Without Mention of Suspects BORUJEN, Iran - Iran's Oil Minister Javad Owji has confirmed that the recent explosions along the country's main south-north gas pipeline network were the result of sabotage. The attacks occurred in the cities of Borujen in the southwestern provinces of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, and Safashahr in the southern province of Fars. According to Owji, the act of sabotage took place at 1 a.m. on Wednesday morning, causing gas outages in the nearby villages. The National Iranian Gas Company reported that the saboteurs caused fires in both locations, but there were no casualties. Authorities quickly brought the fires under control, and only the villages near the damaged pipeline experienced gas outages, which were expected to be resolved later in the day. Contrary to earlier reports, Iranian officials stated that the incident did not result in gas cuts to industrial plants and offices. Owji also mentioned a similar incident of sabotage in 2011 that temporarily cut gas to four different regions of the country. However, no group has taken responsibility for the recent attacks, and Iranian officials have not attributed blame to any specific entity. This is not the first time Iran has faced such incidents, as Iranian Arab separatists claimed responsibility for bombing two oil pipelines in the western Khuzestan region in 2017. Iran has generally blamed agents of its arch-foe Israel for similar acts of sabotage in the past. Despite the lack of immediate attribution, it is clear that the country's gas infrastructure has once again become the target of destructive attacks. The ongoing tensions in the region only serve to exacerbate the situation, further threatening the stability of Iran's energy supply.
