[Republican Ballot] Featured Today [Man Survives Three Shots to the Head; Alleged Shooter Laughs at Victim's Injuries] [Man Survives Three Shots to the Head; Alleged Shooter Laughs at Victim's Injuries]( In case you missed it: Accused Murderer Gets Pass to Visit Family During the Holidays Nassau, Bahamas - Lindsay Shiver, an American woman charged with plotting to murder her husband, has been granted permission to visit her family in Alabama for the holidays, according to a court ruling in the Bahamas. Initially, Shiver was restricted from leaving the Bahamas as part of her bail conditions. She has now been granted permission to travel to the U.S. with specific caveats. She is accused of hiring a hitman to kill her husband, Robert Shiver, during a bitter divorce. During the court hearing, Robert expressed gratitude for his life after the alleged conspiracy unfolded. According to Court TV, Lindsay's attorney informed the court that she is financially dependent on her parents' savings as an unemployed homemaker. Although Lindsay is allowed to leave the Bahamas, she must wear an ankle monitor at all times and is prohibited from visiting Georgia, where Robert currently resides in their former shared home. She has been granted permission to attend divorce and custody hearings in Georgia but is required to avoid any contact with Robert. Lindsay plans to spend the holidays with her family in Alabama. The suspects involved in the alleged plot, including Lindsay's reported lover, Terrance Bethel, and the alleged hitman, Faron Newbold Jr., were apprehended in the Bahamas in July. They all pleaded not guilty to the charges and claimed that the comment was blown out of proportion. Lindsay's trial is set to begin in March. The alleged assassination plot emerged during a tumultuous divorce proceeding after the couple's 13-year marriage disintegrated. As part of the divorce, Robert and Lindsay levied serious accusations against each other, each seeking primary custody of their children and sole ownership of their $2.5 million property in Georgia. The couple also owned a home in the Bahamas. According to Instagram posts, the couple has three kids. The youngest is age four. On July 16, according to bodycam footage, Lindsay called 911 after Robert denied her a ride on their private jet so she could meet her lover in the Bahamas. The same day, she allegedly sent a message to Newbold via WhatsApp saying, "Kill him." Five days later, Lindsay, Bethel, and Newbold Jr. were arrested in the Bahamas on conspiracy to murder charges. Investigators in the Bahamas learned about the alleged plot in an indirect manner. A suspect was being investigated for an unrelated burglary at Grabbers Bed Bar & Grill, according to Bahama Court News. On the suspect's phone, WhatsApp messages revealed the murder plot.
