[The Republican Ballot]     Minnesota Mass Shooting Leaves 3 Dead Including Police Officer - Suspect Yet to be Officially Confirmed Minneapolis, Minnesota - A tragic mass shooting took place outside an apartment complex in south Minneapolis, resulting in the deaths of a police officer, two civilians, and the shooter. The incident also left four additional individuals injured. The shooter has been identified as Mustafa Ahmed Mohamed by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office. However, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has not officially confirmed his identity yet. Mustafa Ahmed Mohamed, 35, was known to be prohibited from possessing a handgun due to a previous conviction of first-degree burglary in 2007. Additionally, he had an active warrant related to a 2022 incident in which he was spotted by law enforcement with a revolver at the scene of a robbery in downtown Minneapolis. Mohamed attempted to escape, allegedly trying to conceal the weapon and discarding a pistol holster during the pursuit. During the response to a shots fired complaint at the apartment complex, police officer Jamal Mitchell was wounded and tragically succumbed to his injuries. Reports suggest that as Mitchell attempted to assist Mohamed, the shooter turned on him, initiating a deadly confrontation. Mohamed continued firing even after Mitchell had fallen, ultimately being shot and killed by officers on the scene. The medical examiner determined that Mohamed died from multiple gunshot wounds. In addition to Mitchell, another individual, Osman Jimale, 32, was found deceased inside the apartment. Furthermore, a firefighter, another Minneapolis police officer, a civilian in a vehicle outside, and one more individual inside the building sustained injuries during the incident. The community has come together to support Mitchell's family, with a BBQ fundraiser held at the Apostle Supper Club in St. Paul, where all proceeds were donated to the family. The event attracted local chefs and residents, emphasizing the importance of showing solidarity and appreciation for law enforcement during trying times like these. Donations are currently being accepted by various law enforcement organizations to provide financial assistance to Mitchell's family as they navigate this difficult period. The investigation into the tragic incident is ongoing as authorities work to piece together the events surrounding the mass shooting in south Minneapolis.   [Visit Republican Ballot News]( Republican Ballot News, 70 South West Century Drive, Suite 100 PMB 5102, Bend, OR 97702 Intended for: {EMAIL} [View Online]( | [Terms of Use]( | [Privacy Policy]( |Â [Unsubscribe from All](
